HPT Complete takes you from no hospital experience to ready to apply for a patient transport job. The program is endorsed by NAHTM, the National Association of Healthcare Transport Management. It starts with the HPT Certificate, built on the CHT curriculum, then adds six modules on what hiring managers and nurses expect from day one: medical words, communication, how a hospital works, spotting patient distress, staying safe, and getting hired.
About 45 hours. 100 percent online and self-paced. Modeled on community college Introduction to Patient Transporting certificates. You earn a Certificate of Completion with your own verification page and digital badge.

When all five steps are done, your certificate is issued automatically, with a verification page employers can check and a badge you can add to LinkedIn.
BLS (Basic Life Support) is taught in HPT, but the card must come from a hands-on class near you. Online-only cards are not accepted. The class is paid to the local provider and is not included in the price. Most hospitals ask for a current BLS card before your first shift, so this step also makes you a stronger applicant. Book it in your first week.
HPT Certificate, then HPT Complete, then hired, then CHT certification through your hospital’s instructor-led program. HPT Complete prepares you for the job and for CHT. It does not replace either one.
This certificate recognizes completion of technical knowledge training. Hands-on competency is verified by the employer.
It is a certificate of completion, not a certification. It does not replace employer training, a BLS card, or any state requirement, and it does not guarantee a job. Every employer sets its own hiring requirements.
About 45 hours of training. At 5 to 10 hours a week, that is about 5 to 9 weeks. It is self-paced, so you can go faster or slower.
