About Course

One of 30 ITC Continuing Education modules. See every module, the CE Access passes and how hours reach your record.

Turning survey results and Value-Based Purchasing into a financial case for transport.

Carries 1.5 CE hours toward CHTI and CPTMP renewal, as domain content. Hours post when you pass the end-of-module assessment.

One self-paced module with worked scenarios, the tools it refers to, and an applied activity at the end. Then a 15-question assessment drawn at random from a 30-question bank: pass with 11 of 15 correct. You get three attempts, each retake shows a different set, and every answer comes with an explanation.

What Will You Learn?

  • Describe the Hospital Value-Based Purchasing payment mechanism and the four domains that produce the score.
  • Name the HCAHPS measures in the Person and Community Engagement domain and identify where transport appears.
  • Explain achievement points, improvement points and consistency points, and why the lowest dimension carries disproportionate weight.
  • Build a defensible financial estimate from your own hospital’s base operating payments rather than from an industry figure.
  • Identify the operational levers that may affect patient experience measures, test whether they do in your own data, and distinguish them from scripting.
