Structured handoff communication at the two seams transport owns: pickup and delivery.

Professional development for transporters. Carries 1 CE hour toward the optional CHT CE Active notation. It carries no CE toward CHTI or CPTMP renewal. Hours post when you pass the end-of-module assessment.

One self-paced module with worked scenarios, the tools it refers to, and an applied activity at the end. Then a 15-question assessment drawn at random from a 30-question bank: pass with 11 of 15 correct. You get three attempts, each retake shows a different set, and every answer comes with an explanation.

What Will You Learn?

  • Verify patient identity using two identifiers before any transport begins.
  • Give and receive a structured handoff at pickup and at delivery.
  • Use SBARR to report a change or a concern in under a minute, and close it with a read back.
  • State what must be communicated when a transport is delayed, refused or interrupted.
  • Escalate a concern you are not qualified to resolve, without waiting to be asked.
  • Handle the hard moments at pickup, in transit and at delivery, and give an SBARR the receiver can act on.
