About Course

About this module

Patients rarely remember how fast a transport was. They remember whether someone told them where they were going, kept their gown closed in the elevator, and handed them off to someone who knew who they were. This module teaches the communication that makes every move feel safe: to patients, families, nurses, dispatch and other departments.

You practice ENTER at pickup with real hard cases, the recap at drop-off, privacy in hallways and elevators, SBARR handoffs with a read-back, radio and dispatch discipline, working with interpreters, patients with hearing, vision and memory challenges, and L-A-S-T when a family is upset about a delay. It builds on ITC's The 60-Second Encounter and the CHT-1 2027 curriculum.
